Have you ever wondered what it takes to be a firefighter?

We provide all equipment and training; you will be MN State certified Firefighter & EMTB (Emergency Medical Technician Basic).

Our firefighters are paid-on-call responders, trained for any hazard in our community at any time of day or night.  We have many excellent benefit programs including a pension program for your retirement. 

If you are already employed you can still be a firefighter!  We have openings in both our day and night shifts.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older;
• Must obtain certification as an EMT within the first year of hire and maintain thereafter;
• Must become certified as Firefighter I, Firefighter II and HazMat Operations and maintain thereafter.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Minnesota driver's license.
• Must be within 2 miles or less response time from one of our 2 fire stations:
• Fire Station No. 1 - 4701 Highway 61, White Bear Lake, MN 55110
• Fire Station No. 2 - 3595 McKnight Road, White Bear Lake, MN 55110
